About

I am a Japanese photographer currently living in Japan. After completing a master’s degree in media arts at Murdoch University in 2009 in Perth, Australia, I began shooting photos and videos for local newspapers and commercial companies. I moved back to Japan in 2012 and initially worked as a photographer for a marketing company and then for the Shizuoka Newspaper. In 2015 I moved to Beijing and started freelancing, taking on news and commercial assignments. In 2018 I became a staff photographer for the Beijing Bureau of Kyodo News, Japan’s biggest news agency, until my husband and I took a long sabbatical to travel to New York and Japan in 2022.
